The process of birthing your body of work should be meaningful, joyous and comprehensible. My job is to make it so.

My one-hour publishing consultations are for envisioning and planning. Together, we dissect the finer details of revision, self publication & distribution while creating a mood board for your body of work. You will walk away with a better sense of what your work will look and feel like in your hands, the type of connection you are seeking through sharing your work, actionable steps for getting it into the hands of your desired audience, as well as ways to gather around / celebrate the work.

After this initial one-hour meeting, our work together can continue through further book design and formatting, as well as hands-on support through the process of self-publication.

Please note: a one-hour consultation is a prerequisite for all design projects/ 1:1 mentorship. Once we have met via Zoom, I will draft and send a personalized proposal for our work together. Each proposal contains a timeline and investment quote. Book design projects generally begin at $1200, with the cost of the initial consultation deducted from the total.

one-hour session - $105

Payments currently accepted through Venmo & PayPal (within 24 hours of registration, links will be sent for both Zoom meeting & payment)

“Kat's talk was just what I needed to hear--be gentle with one's self and process. And, to hear how one transforms one's notebooks and post-its and photos into a project was so inspiring . . . hearing Kat narrate her process and project planted some seeds of confidence in me.”

Kim Flyr, poet

“Designing with Kat… was soulful and honestly fun. I had zero intention of publishing this when I began, and that makes me even more pleased that I followed this project along to the finish. She was a joy to work with, and really helped me to finish this project. It means even more to me that it was such a collaborative process.”

Some past projects include:

A personal publication, Motherwort Magazine, 2021

Oceans Without End - Water Book, Poetry Forge, 2022/2023

Enough - chapbook template design for poet Kim Flyr, 2023

A Home of Heart & Bones- a recurring workshop teaching tools for self publication through various channels, Poetry Forge, 2022-2024
